Group Projects

My group consists of Marquez, Kay, Derek, and Kenzy. Derek is definitely the leader of the group, he has distributed roles and topics for each of us to work on. All of our personalities seem to mesh well because we are all willing to work. Kenzy is focused on trying to help as much as possible, and I feel as though Kay has very good ideas that she has been contributing to the group. As for myself, I am taking a more low key approach to this group, normally I am the one in charge, but Derek seems to have a good hold on the topic and how to work the project.

Portfolio

For any English class with Nicole Williams, we are required to make a portfolio. Thankully, I had alreaddy created one in English 101 and understand my way around the online process of making a website. Granted, I am not wonderful with online web design, I do not think that it is terrible. I also believe that it is a great way to showcase your work and talents (if you have them) in a creative way that is easy for others to see. Writing papers and what not is very typical of an English class, but I love that Nicole gives us new and fun ways to display our work.

South Station

My site is South Station in Boston. It is a train and bus station, and a hub for many different people. I have been there many times and because of its diversity I have fallen in love with it. There are trains that go everywhere from my university to New York, all the way down to Washington, D.C.which means there are people from all over the east coast, and further. Not only are the people diverse, but there are different food vendors around the station as well.

South Station has been around for a very long time, I have a few questions about it. Such as who built it and when, how many people pass through on an average day, and how much money they make.

ENGLISH 102 :)

The Town Hangout? was a well written essay about how someone (Nicole) spent a lot of time at a local bowling place, she incorporated how she used to spend a lot of time with her family there and hoped that other families could share similar experiences because it meant so much to her. It was even family run. This was about why she chose this specific bowling alley to observe.
